Having had time to get a leak from the media about the names of players who entered the 2011 World Player of the Year candidate, the World Football Federation (FIFA) has finally officially released the list of candidates for winning the World Player of Baloon d'Or. Having previously had released 50 names, now pursing FIFA to 23 names.
As predicted, most of the players names on the list comes from the Spanish La Liga, especially a player of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Barca dominated the nomination list by sending eight players from Real Madrid while there are 5 players. Champions League finalists Manchester United themselves are only sending two players just as well as the runner up in Serie A, Inter Milan, who also sent two players on the list.
Meanwhile, for coaches, trainers name of the kind Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United), Jose Mourinho (Real Madrid) and Pep Guardiola (Barcelona) remained loyal to the Best Coach in the World list. Chelsea's new coach, Andre Villas-Boas are also included in the list and became the youngest who go into nomination.
Later than 23 names of these players will be announced the best three on 5 December. While on January 9, 2012, a new winner will be announced in a ceremony held at FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
