Ballardini replace the position left by Massimo Ficcadenti who was sacked on Tuesday after a little less than satisfactory results of Cagliari in the early season.
Unfortunately, the official announcement did not mention how long Cagliari Ballardini agreement is reached. Ballardini is no stranger to Cagliari for a couple of times to practice there.
Cagliari coach Ballardini third this season because last August, the club president Massimo Cellino was ousted and replaced Roberto Donadoni Ficcadenti.
