The midfielder Gareth Barry to Manchester City says that the competition for the England team at the European Cup is coming very close.

According to Barry, there are at least 35 names who will compete in. The team Three Lions coach Fabio Capello will be brought to Ukraine and Poland.

Not only veteran players like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Barry himself, but new faces, such as Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker, Jack Rodwell and Daniel Sturridge has also given the option of Capello.

"Now, more options. I think the manager is very happy with this situation, especially in the last two Test match (against Spain and Sweden)," Barry said, quoted by Sporting Life.

"A lot of young players on the team, have adapted well and have great confidence,"

"Not only are there 23 players that Capello will be selected, but probably around 30 to 35 players that could reasonably enter a team,"

"But we will not forget me, as the loss of the World Cup. Everyone knows how many goals we conceded and we know that the team is not doing well in South Africa "

"We can not say we were the best team in a tournament, but when we entered the tournament (European Championship later) then you should look up and have a winning mentality," said the Former Aston Villa player.
