Cal Crutchlow:
"It was a very important test to get used to the new YZR-M1 1000cc and luckily the weather was in our favor and we could get in a lot of laps to understand the potential at the beginning of the bike. The 1000 seems to fit my style a little better, and I must say that Yamaha has done a very good job and we are already working from a solid base. The bike is quite similar to the YZR-M1 800, but Yamaha has maintained the strong points of this year's bike. You can immediately feel the extra power, which is impressive, but I am happy because I could keep a very regular way. I look forward to winter break now. I learned a lot in my first season in MotoGP, which will help me to become much stronger in 2012. I want to thank all my Monster Yamaha Tech 3 crew for their efforts this year. They gave me their maximum support and I am grateful for that. "
Andrea Dovizioso:
"First I want to thank the staff of Tech 3 make me feel immediately at home this week. I was very excited to begin this new adventure together and tested positive and productive. The test was my first opportunity to ride the bike and the power of 1000 cc engine is very impressive. The driving style is very close to 800cc and the bike has many good things for my style. There are some areas that have been identified, we can improve for the next test in Sepang and gave me a lot of information that should help improve the Yamaha motorcycle during the winter holidays. I'm going to take a break to recharge the batteries and return to Sepang wait to get back on the bike and the positive work we have done here in Valencia
